BRIQUETTING AND GRANULATION SYSTEMS
AMP supplies under license of the renowned firm Sahut-Conreur, roller presses and systems for briquetting and compacting-granulation of fine materials produced in the mining, chemical, coal, metallurgical, food, environmental and recycling industries among others.
Compaction technology with roller press is applied for briquetting and granulation of materials, generally in powder and dry, and with maximum particle size up to 3-4 mm depending on the type of product. This compaction technology involves the densification of products due to the high pressures generated between two rollers, with the possibility of obtaining production capacities of up to 150 t / h.
In the briquetting process, the agglomeration of fine particles into briquettes with a certain minimum size is performed with the purpose to have a better disposal or subsequent handling of the processing product. The process of granulation by compaction allows the agglomeration of difficult use fine products application to convert these into grain-sized valuable products by forming a slice-plate type, which is later crushed at the specific size, resulting into a suitable and high quality material applicable by different markets as end product. In any of these process applications a system of feeding, dosing and mixing of the products to be processed is required, as well as the addition of a binding agent when necessary.
A briquetting or granulation plant consists of diverse equipment and connecting ancillaries that are specified and dimensioned based on design parameters, according to a detailed study of the process and material testing with the product to be treated.
Applications as way of example:
- Agglomeration: Coal, Metallic Minerals, Metallic Oxides - Ferroalloys, Siderurgy and Metalurgy Refuses, Industrial Stones (lime, magnesite, fluorspar, alumina ...), Chemicals (sodium sulphate, sodium chloride ...), Phosphate, Clays, Vitreous Compounds, Frozen foods (spinach ..).
- Granulation: Fertilizers (NPK, PK, potassium chloride, potassium sulphate ...), Chemicals (sodium carbonate, sodium chloride), Active Carbon, Oxides and Minerals, Pharmaceutical Products.
