Engineering
AMP develops studies and engineering services for the Mining, Aggregates, Chemical, Recycling and Environmental industries, among others, based on the requirements of the project, applying the latest technology resources available in the most efficient way and paying special attention to the most relevant technical and investment aspects to shape an effective and profitable solution.
In the initial step of the project study, AMP engineers participate in the characterization of materials and the performance of metallurgical tests with representative samples of the deposit to ensure the correct dimensioning and specification of the process equipment in the various stages of the plant’s operating circuit.
Based on the knowledge of the material to be processed, AMP‘s metallurgical engineers usually contribute in the definition of the conceptual engineering of the plant, which will serve to assess the technical and economic feasibility of the project, as a previous step to the development of basic and detailed engineering, identifying aspects such as: products to be obtained, production capacity, design of the process circuit and list of equipment, among the most relevant ones.
From the conceptual engineering of the plant, our specialist engineers develop the basic engineering, starting with the detailed review of the conceptual engineering and customer requirements, which will include all the requirements, basic specifications and assessment of the project, as well as the execution schedule. Among the most relevant works to be carried out, the following stand out: equipment specifications, general and overall implementation, consumption list, specification of instrumentation and control and equipment start-up sequences.
The set of activities to be carried out for the detailed engineering by our specialized personnel includes mainly the following concepts:
- Confirmation of the operation circuit, with mass and volumetric balance.
- Detailed review of the basic engineering.
- Technical specifications of equipment and materials.
- Dimensioning of pumps, pipes and ducts.
- Calculation and design of water and compressed air installations.
- Design and delineation of general implementation plans and isometrics of pipes.
- Development of electrical engineering.
