TAK Hydroclassifiers
TAK updraft hydroclassifiers have been designed to achieve sand cut-off points in the range of 0.1 and 2 mm, and are used to obtain sands with particle size between 0.1 – 0.6 mm for the glass, ceramic, paint and foundry industries; in the preparation of sands with specific granulometry for filters and blasting; in the fractionation of 0/5 mm sands to two sands (coarse 1/5 mm and fine 0.07/1 mm) for various applications, such as hydraulic concrete and in the classification of minerals according to the treatment process.

Construction
The hydroclassifier consists of a cylindrical vessel open at the top, with a double bottom consisting of a convex water distribution chamber on the outside and a flat perforated surface on the inside, of metal construction with protective paint and interior elastomer lining against abrasion. In the upper part of the vessel it incorporates a peripheral channel that collects the discharge of fines and in the center of the bottom an outlet duct equipped with an interchangeable polyurethane nozzle that ensures the discharge of the coarse product.
The perforated bottom of the vessel through which the upstream feed flows to the classifier is equipped with specially designed elastomer nozzles, which prevent material from entering the water distribution chamber. These nozzles only open when the water pressure is above the set value and remain closed when the water pressure is too low.
The hydroclassifier is equipped with an automatic operating system that measures the level of coarse particles settling at the bottom of the tank, by opening/closing the discharge of the coarse product, according to the required cut-off point, and its outlet is controlled by a pinch valve controlled by a level sensor.
Advantages of TAK Hydroclassifiers
